Rebate kits are for double doors which have been cut, or 'rebated' into one another. Supplied in SINGLES complete with fixings and 2 keys. These locks are 5 Lever. These 5 lever horizontal mortice locks are extremely similar in shape and size to a rim lock, they were first used in the Georgian and Victorian times, usually in grand homes, where a traditional rim lock was viewed as too 'rustic. They are very secure, however to attain the appropriate Insurance Rated British Standard, it is recommended they be fitted with a British Standard Dead Lock (See linked items below).
