This traditional HL shaped hinge sometimes known as a Holy Lord hinges due to early styles being found on church buildings.  These will give an authentic rustic charm to your cottage doors. The HL hinges add more strength than the H Hinges as the L section covers a larger area. HL hinges date back to early 18th century. Found throughout the American colonies and most of Europe,this is a popular and elegant HL Hinge dating back 300 years.

Beeswax is a traditional finish which protects the metal. The beeswax is applied while the metal is hot from the forge and the colours vary from dark brown grey to black. This finish is best for internal use.

Patine – This has a pewter patine (old iron colour Dull Pewter Grey) and has anti corrosive properties which makes it ideal for external use. see Associated Lines
