The most traditional design of thumb latch with staple two keeps and latch bar.. The thumb piece passes through the door and raises the latch bar. to restrict the latch bar movement a staple pin is provided.
| This is a Hand Forged Bean End Suffolk Latch. Originated in Suffolk and common throughout the UK between 17th and 18th Century.They are Hand Forged from solid bar and are ideal for renovations. The set comprises a latch bar. spike keeper. staple keep and slotted screws. For bedrooms or bathrooms we can supply a locking pin which prevents the latch bars from lifting. The size of the Suffolk Latch refers to the overall length. Slotted dome head screws are supplied. A screw fix keeper is also included. This is designed to replace the Spike keeper if the doors planks are thin etc |
