These Beehive Door Knob Sets are unsprung. made from solid bronze. having loose roses which enable them to be used with a rim lock or use with a mortice lock.

They have 8mm threaded spindle to take adjustment for various door thickness and lock firmly with a grub screw. The grub screw should locate on the ”V” in the shaft and not on the threaded part.

We recommend that the centre of the knob is positioned a minimum of 3 inches from the edge of the door. we can also supply a latch for this see 18494 this is a heavy duty latch.

This product is un lacquered allowing the finish to mellow over time.

Supplied with necessary fixing screws.

For best results the center of the knob should be a minimum of 3” from the edge of the door. Heavy Duty latches 4” or 5” are recommended for maximum efficiency.

Polished Bronze.
This finish is manufactured from solid unlacquered bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. This finish undergoes an accelerated ageing process and is then re-polished. leaving any decorative details dark and larger surface areas more polished. If the intention is to allow the surface to age. no attention needs to be given. Over time the bronze will acquire a darker and more aged patina. However. polishing with brasso will give the product a natural sheen where required. This finish has been salt tested to 480hours. which meets grade 5 British Standard.
