Hot forged and drawn to shape.  No welding and not fabricated. The hinge knuckle is fashioned in the traditional way and is very strong.

The External Beeswax Finish makes it suitable for outdoor use. It is manufactured from an anti corrosive beeswax and has a matt richness.  It is similar to the standard beeswax finish in depth of colour. Although suitable for out door use it is recommended that a maintenance wax is used periodically.
