From The Anvil Cottage Latch Pewter Finish 33666 LH 33667 RH

This is a Hand Forged Cottage Latch and Rings  with a Pewter Patina finish.  These square plate latches date from around 1730 to 1830.  Many variations appeared during this time.  Some  were quite refined whist others were quite crude.  Square plate latch 6 inches x 4 inches with forged edges and spring loaded latch bar. Made from steel including the bar and keeps.  This makes it the only one in the country to be made from steel throughout

Handle Size: 2.625 inches.  Rosette Size: 2.625 inches.  Spindle Size: 8mm
The cottage latch is supplied with a 8mm spindle and a matching ring for the other side of the door.
