This is an ornate and decorative pair of unsprung solid aged bronze door knobs. reproduced copy from a Georgian original knob set. Ideal for restoration of period properties  create a genuinely traditional feel.

The back plates don’t come off  so these are suitable as a mortice set only. not for use with Rim locks.

Please note this product is also available in unlaquered brass.

They have 8mm threaded spindle to take adjustment for various door thickness.

For best results the centre of the knob should be a minimum of 3” from the edge of the door.
Heavy Duty latches 4” or 5” are recommended for maximum efficiency.

Supplied with necessary fixing screws.

These knobs will not age and tarnish over time as part of the ageing process but can be polished time and time again if you want to achieve a more contemporary finish.

This knob set is also available in polished chrome if you are looking for a more contemporary look.

The Solid bronze is manufactured using traditional methods and contains a high percentage of copper.They have a matt oil rubbed finish which aids protection. It is unlacquered and will initially appear dark.  this will gradually wear over time by oxidisation achieving a warm patina and depth.
