Aged Bronze - These products are manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. Pewter Patina - They are forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. Polished Nickel - These products are manufactured from a solid brass base with high-quality plating. Due to the process used to age the metal, this finish is very dark and has a rich, matt appearance. Available below in -Aged Brass - This finish is intentionally tarnished using an accelerated ageing process that causes a dark patina to gather around the edges and recesses of the design. Favoured for its bright, bold appearance, Polished Chrome is well suited to contemporary designs and offers a smooth, mirror finish when polished. Polished Chrome - These products are made from a base of solid brass coated with a durable chrome plating to give an exceedingly high-sheen finish. Black - This is a popular choice in traditional settings. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. Unlacquered Brass - They are made from solid, unlacquered brass and have soft, golden hues that offer a depth of reflection. Beeswax (internal use only) - This is From the Anvil’s most authentic finish for steel. Polished Bronze - These products are made from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. Satin Brass - These products are made from solid brass. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look. During the final stages of manufacturing, our Satin Brass products are brushed with a satin wheel to give them their distinctive appearance. From The Anvil’s manufacturing techniques create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. When polished, it offers an impressive depth of reflection. The products are beautifully suited to listed, cottage and period properties because of their timeless appearance. From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. During the final stages of manufacturing, From The Anvil apply a robust lacquer which helps preserve this bright contrast. This rich colour offers a beautiful contrast against the repolished surface areas. Satin Chrome - These are crafted from a base of solid brass, with high-quality chrome plating applied to its surface. This finish is bright, reflective, and extremely versatile. During the final stages of manufacturing, we apply a durable, matt lacquer to this finish which helps preserve its distinctive tones. To restore these products to their former glory, simply polish them using a dry cloth and some Brasso. A high-quality matt lacquer is then applied to their surface for protection.
