It has been created by hand using traditional blacksmithery methods by master craftsmen at From the Anvil. This finish has been salt tested for 480 hours. The Welsh-based brand From the Anvil, design and manufacture high-quality, hand-made and functional ironmongery that enhances and revives traditional buildings and brings an authentic and rustic charm to newer builds. This will tarnish in time as part of the ageing process but can be polished time and time again if a natural sheen is desired. A base metal of solid brass with quality chrome plating applied to its surface which is salt tested to 480 hours. From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. Polished Nickel - A highly polished finish with nickel plating applied to solid brass which is salt tested to 480 hours. Sold in SINGLES complete with fixings. Available in - Aged Brass- The un-lacquered brass achieves a timeless elegance, highly polished on all surface areas but aged to highlight the detail and design. This finish has been salt tested for 480hours, which meets grade 5 British Standards. Polished Chrome - A highly polished finish which reflects like a mirror. This finish undergoes an accelerated ageing process and is then re-polished, leaving any decorative details dark and larger surface areas more polished. Similar to a polished chrome finish but with much warmer tones. Polished Bronze - Manufactured from solid un-lacquered bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. The products are beautifully suited to listed, cottage and period properties because of their timeless appearance. Aged Bronze - This finish is manufactured from solid un-lacquered bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper; with a rich, matt hue, due to the finishing process used to age the metal, this process initially darkens the material, however, the finish will gradually oxidize over time revealing the warmer copper undertones.
