Description

Polished Bronze - Manufactured from solid un-lacquered bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. A base metal of either solid brass or steel, which then has a quality chrome plating process applied to it’s surface to give a highly polished and beautiful finish. The textured surface this creates is well suited to a wide variety of settings. Polished Nickel - is a highly polished finish with nickel plating applied to a quality solid brass substrate. We recommend that this finish is wiped with a lightly oiled cloth from time-to-time which will remove harmful deposits and maintain it in its original condition. The matt black finish is applied to a base material of solid steel and then baked in a high-temperature oven, resulting in a subtle black patina that emphasises the product’s clean silhouette. It looks great in ultra-modern interiors, but this versatile finish is timeless and will create a statement in traditional or more rustic settings too. Pewter patina - Pewter Patina is elegant and beautifully highlights the texture of the steel. From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. The finish may maintained with Brasso, or left to age gracefully to its own unique patina. Matt Black – From the Anvil’s matt black finish has a distinct contemporary feel. This is an un-lacquered finish, and as such, basically maintenance free, because nickel will not tarnish. Externally this finish requires no more than an occasional cleaning with a damp cloth. It is baked in a high-temperature oven giving it durable corrosion-resistant properties. The sprung handles have a strong spring incorporated into the boss and rose backplate and come with bolt through and wood screws, and will fit standard British latches. Stylish and modern, it is equally suited to a new home as well as a period one. It has different screw positions on the rose backplate and comes with wood screws only. Polished Chrome - A highly polished finish which reflects like a mirror. This finish undergoes an accelerated ageing process and is then re-polished, leaving any decorative details dark and larger surface areas more polished. If you want a maintenance free finish combined with a superb natural metal colour then pewter patina is ideal. Aged Brass - is very similar to the Antique Brass finish, but subtly less dark. Supplied in PAIRS complete with fixings. The Welsh-based brand From the Anvil, design and manufacture high-quality, hand-made and functional ironmongery that enhances and revives traditional buildings and brings an authentic and rustic charm to newer builds. Polished Chrome - A bright, highly polished finished which reflects like a mirror. It has excellent anti-corrosion properties. The result is a beautiful rose-gold finish, which highlights any dark detail on the product. This door handle is from a range of products that are carefully hand-hammered by From The Anvil's skilled craftspeople. Overtime and through use the solid bronze will slowly lighten in colour resulting in a beautiful subtle patine appearance, reminiscent of classical architectural fittings and statues. Aged Bronze - All of the From the Anvil Aged Bronze products are manufactured from genuine, unpolished solid bronze. Polished Nickel is similar to the polished chrome finish, only with a slightly warmer tone than the bright, cold, effect of chrome. The From The Anvil Hammered Newbury Lever On Rose features a hand-hammered lever, on a simple round rose. The polished Nickel finish has become popular with handmade kitchen makers and interior designers for it's contemporary yet mellow colour, which complements raw timber, especially oak, extremely well. To achieve the Aged Brass Finish, the ageing process is accelerated much like the Antique Brass, except then the finish is re-polished. The products are beautifully suited to listed, cottage and period properties because of their timeless appearance. A base metal of solid brass with quality chrome plating is applied to its surface which is salt tested to 480 hours. This finish has been salt tested to 480hours, which meets grade 5 British Standard. These door handles are available in both sprung and unsprung versions. The unsprung version allows upward locking movement which is often associated with modern espagnolette systems on uPVC doors. Available in the below finishes -Black - This black finish is a popular choice in traditional settings, as it has a subtle sheen.
