Description
Handmade throughout at the Walsall foundry, the Kirkpatrick Centre Door Knob 3072 is a malleable iron fitting from the Black Iron collection. Black and Pewter have a two-stage protective system beginning with paint in the corresponding colour. Argent receives a clear protective lacquer.
The fixed centre-knob format provides a means of pushing a door open and pulling it closed. Larger than a conventional paired knob, this type of furniture was popular in the Georgian era. It can form an architectural centrepiece when arranged with a letter plate and door knocker.
