As Kirkpatrick have been producing the highest quality malleable ironmongery at their foundry in Walsall since 1855. These lockable casement fasteners are 'Handed' - please choose either left or right handed.

Kirkpatrick Locking Casement Fastener 1166. I’m interested in purchasing these but I have had trouble with previous cast iron ones snapping. What kind of guarantee do these come with please and are they as strong as you say?

Thank you for your enquiry. Kirkpatrick produce the highest quality cast iron ironmongery that we are aware of. They have a 180 year history, so there are few who can rival their knowledge. Below is a copy of their guarantee as shown on their website:

Care instructions are included in each product and by adopting this simple advice you can help ensure that Kirkpatrick Ironmongery will remain highly decorative and will last a lifetime.

Please note that the warranty covers the malleable iron castings which form our products. Items such as springs and screws which are not manufactured by ourselves are not covered by a Lifetime Guarantee. The same applies to paint and coatings which can break down with use to give a unique patina."
