Traditionally made from hand-forged iron, the Spira Brass Beeswax T-Hinges Penny End retain the natural variation of individually worked metal, meaning no two pieces are identical. Their penny-end format provides an authentic architectural detail for period homes, barn conversions, cottages and restoration projects.
The beeswax treatment produces a subtle matt appearance and is stated to offer excellent protection where the hinges are installed internally and maintained correctly. Each hinge arm rotates through 270 degrees, which permits the butt section to be positioned on the inside of the jamb where the installation requires it.
