Description
These products offer excellent internal protection when properly maintained. Beeswax - After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. During the manufacturing process, our Black products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities. Aged Bronze - Manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. The Welsh-based brand From the Anvil designs and manufactures high-quality, hand-made and functional ironmongery that enhances and revives traditional buildings and brings an authentic and rustic charm to newer builds. This rich colour offers a beautiful contrast against the repolished surface areas, offering an abundance of charm and character perfect for any period dwelling. Their collection of sash furniture complements all other products within the range, allowing a consistent finish throughout a property or project. The products are beautifully suited to listed, cottage and period properties because of their timeless appearance. This finish is bright, reflective, and extremely versatile. Supplied in SINGLES complete with fixings. When polished, it offers an impressive depth of reflection and has an appropriate place in modern properties, but its warm tones also make it suitable for traditional settings. Due to the process used to age the metal, this finish is very dark and has a rich, matt appearance. This finish undergoes a complex manufacturing process which creates fewer textural marks to give a smoother overall appearance. During the final stages of manufacturing, we apply a durable, matt lacquer to this finish which helps preserve its distinctive tones. Antique Pewter - It offers the same protection as Pewter Patina but has a solid Brass base rather than steel. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look. This finish is aged and then subsequently re-polished to highlight the lighter surface areas against the darker, detailed parts. To restore these products to their former glory, simply polish them using a dry cloth and some Brasso. Available below in - Aged Brass - It is intentionally tarnished using an accelerated ageing process that causes a dark patina to gather around the edges and recesses of the design. Polished Bronze - Made from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike. It offers an understated alternative to Chrome and is loved for its less reflective appearance and distinctive blue traces. Polished Chrome - Made from a base of solid brass coated with durable chrome plating to give an exceedingly high-sheen finish. From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. The From The Anvil Sash Lift is a simple sash lift that is usually fitted to the bottom of a sash window to assist with the closing of the bottom sash. During the final stages of manufacturing, we apply a robust lacquer which helps preserve this bright contrast. All our Beeswax ironmongery offers a subtle matt richness and is a more natural, and far softer, alternative to a black powder-coated finish. Favoured for its bright, bold appearance, Polished Chrome is well suited to contemporary designs and offers a smooth, mirror finish when polished. Satin Chrome: Crafted from a base of solid brass, with high-quality chrome plating applied to its surface. This works best if a cool, clean look is desired. Black - A popular choice in traditional settings. Polished Nickel - Manufactured from a solid brass base with high-quality plating. A popular choice for those looking for a timeless matt finish. Unlacquered Brass - They are made from solid, unlacquered brass and have soft, golden hues that offer a depth of reflection.
