Very similar in shape and size to a rim lock, these Horizontal Mortice Locks were first used in the Georgian and Victorian times, typically in grand, or more expensive homes, where a traditional rim lock was viewed as too 'rustic. Please note: The Polished Stainless Steel variation has to be constructed to order, and can take up to 3 Weeks. ' The keyhole is located next to the knob instead of underneath it, as seen on most modern locks. Click here for a link to further information on rebate kits if you think you may need one. Supplied in SINGLES complete with fixings and 2 keys. These Locks are ideal for replacements for old broken locks, or for restorers keen to get their homes traditionally accurate. These locks are 3 Lever, and as such are ideal for internal doors. Rebate kits are for double doors which have been cut, or 'rebated' into one another.
